Hi, I’m Anja Hendrikse Liu. I’m passionate about storytelling, education, equity, and the opportunities that data, AI, and digital media offer in these spaces. At Washington Trails Association, my work blends CRM administration, data, and tech strategy with a focus on building tech knowledge and agency to help create trails for everyone, forever. I hold an MSc in Narrative Futures from the University of Edinburgh, where I investigated how we can build a future where data and AI support innovation and increased equity in fields such as education and the narrative arts.

In my spare time, I’m working on a novel about nightmares, magic, climate change, and digitalization, and my award-nominated fiction and creative nonfiction have appeared in many magazines and anthologies.
