Anja Hendrikse Liu

Hi, I’m Anja Hendrikse Liu. I’m passionate about storytelling, education, and the opportunities that data, AI, and digital media offer in these spaces. I’ve recently finished my MSc in Narrative Futures at the University of Edinburgh, investigating how we can build a future where data and AI support innovation and increased equity in fields such as education and the narrative arts. I developed these interdisciplinary passions through past roles as a data coach, data science fellow, and on the Partnerships team at Zearn, where I used my skills in data analysis, operations, communication, and the Salesforce platform to help make Zearn’s research-backed digital math platform available to K-8 students.

In my spare time, I’m working on a novel about nightmares, magic, climate change, and digitalization, and my award-nominated fiction and creative nonfiction have appeared in many magazines and anthologies.
